Day 37 - Sitemap export implemented

Sitemap phase 1 feature complete

Finished the edit/delete functionality for nodes in a sitemap while listening to the story of how Weworks was built. Founder Miguel Mckelvey talked about how with Adam Neumann he built a coworking space company that’s worth over $30 billion. Miguel is the hard working visionary while Adam is the in-your-face go getter - this combination of skills seems very effective. Another interesting thing is that their first project was actually Greendesk - 68Jay! I worked from that location for a good 2 years and had no idea that it was actually started by weworks guys before they moved on to do their main venture.

Anyway, second half of the day was spent implmenting pdf export for Sitemaps. This was a bit tricky and had to spend some time learning 3rd party libraries (thank heaven for those).

Next step

I’m going to start looking into aquiring some beta users now. Here’s what I’m considering to start with:

  • Few people I know
  • Betalist submission - Need to create assets
  • Google adwords - I need to configure analytics properly so I can track conversions.
