Day 42 - Landing Page improvements, shared project workflow

Landing Page

I figured landing page needed some sort of screenshot of what the app actually looks like, otherwise we just have some graphics that may or maynot be as good as the app. I looked around for a good free laptop vector I could use but realized that all the good ones are behind a paywall. I sat down with photoshop and created my own simple one that you now see on UserBit’s landing. It took all of 15 mins.

Sometimes it’s okay to re-invent the wheel I guess.

Moreover, I also worked on content SEO of the page and redid most of the copy along with meta tags.

Shared workflow

I started planning out and implementing a shared / readonly project workflow. This would be necessary for the demo project that I’ve been working on. I intend to have that shared for all new users as they sign up. Moreover, this shared project concept is essential to when we have teams. So it is important for me to think this through properly.

Meeting with Mike

I met with a good friend for lunch yesterday to catch up. I ended up demoing UserBit to him and he was very excited about it. He promised to connect me to a few more people so I’m really looking forward to that. I need to work on my pitch and refine the demo.
