Day 67-70 - Happy New Year - 2019

Happy New Year!

2018 was a big year for me - I finally found the courage to pursue what I want to do, full-time. It is the year I started Crayon Bits and It is the year UserBit was born. I can’t help but feel a sense of gratitude towards the last 365 days. It is a turmoil of good emotions that cannot be captured with words so a ‘thank you’ will have to do.

I also have a good feeling about 2019. A lot of what I’m doing now is like navigating in the dark. There are a lot of unknowns and and a lot of walking in circles. I’m hoping thought, that if I keep putting one step after the other, I’ll find a way to somewhere good and new. So that’s my goal for 2019 - keep moving, keep hustling, keep building.

Insights

I have been thinking for a while as to how to tie affinity findings into requirements. In a way I felt like the UX ideation process isn’t complete yet on UserBit. How do people extract insights that can be converted into tangible requirements for wireframes or features? HMW questions? User Stories? Key Insights? A tool to record these valuable insigts is missing.

I have since been planning an Insight feature. This will in my opinion take out a lot of what appears like black magic from the UX process. Will be building that over the coming days.

Down Time

Productivity slowed down a bit last couple of days because I wanted to spend time with family and friends as we welcome the new year. Picking it back up tomorrow!
