Designing Pricing Buckets

Took a break from coding in the morning to design some illustrations for pricing. It got me excited about the pricing module itself and I continued working on implementing it.

I spent majority of the day on it only to realize towards the end that Stripe’s new beta checkout is severely lacking in it’s implementation - the new checkout creates a new customer everytime it goes through a checkout. There seems to be no way to associate a checkout with an existing customer. I thought I must be doing something wrong so contacted their rep. It took me a good half hour to explain this rather simple issue. Needless to say, nothing got resolved and I decided to go back to an older checking implementation.

Half a day wasted but a good lesson learned

When working on your MVP go with tried and tested if you know that it’ll work instead of the next flashy thing.

Will try to get the old way working tomorrow. This damn jetlag will be the end of me!
